Salt Caves & Halotherapy (Salt Therapy)
Salt therapy, also known as Halotherapy, is generally referred to treatment in a specially created salt cave or salt room, adequately equipped with a halogenerator - a purpose-built equipment that crushes pure, natural salt into minute particles and disperses them into the environment. Salt caves and rooms have become a popular treatment space for asthma, cystic fibrosis and a host of other respiratory and skin ailments.

Salt therapy is a research-driven, modern variation of the Eastern European tradition of spending time in natural salt caves for health. Polish physician Dr. Boczkowski was the first to record the health benefits of salt caves in 1843, after observing the good health of salt miners in the Wieliczka salt mines near Krakow.

The Benefits of Halotherapy
The advocates of salt therapy attribute the benefits to the fact that dry salt particles have bactericide, mucokinetic, hydrophilic and anti-inflammatory properties that helps reduce respiratory tract inflammation and removes mucus and external allergens. Hence, a cleaner respiratory system induces better oxygen intake, thereby improving energy level and overall immune system.
Himalayan Salt is the oldest (around 250 million years old) and purest form of salt found on the planet. Salt rooms and caves are constructed at spas, gyms, yoga facilities and other locations using Himalayan salt tiles and bricks, salt surfacing and halogenerator. With all the right materials and equipment, salt caves can deliver therapeutic benefits, particularly for:
